Margie: Edna, wasn't it lovely for Silly Willy and Fluffy to invite us to their fun house for homemade sarsaparilla ? I'm so glad Cousin T could drive us.

I'm excited just being here. Do you think they'll have cotton candy and roasted peanuts? You remember your manners, Edna. Sit up straight and don't make those strange faces if you don't like something. Just be polite if that's possible.

Edna: For the love of Pete, would you stop bossing me around? My lands, I've been an adult for more years than I care to admit, and I know how to behave when we go visiting. You'd best tend to your own manners, sister.

It was very nice of Silly Willy and Fluffy to invite us over. But you know Margie, just because they're clowns doesn't mean they live at a carnival. I do love to ride the Tilt-a-Whirl...but I'd hardly expect them to have one in their backyard.

Margie: What? You think they may not live at a carnival? I wanted to see the elephants and watch those young men swing from the trapeze.

Edna, do you think they'll even be dressed like clowns? I've loved clowns since I was a girl. I'm worried now.

Edna: Margie, I know how much you love the carnival, I do too. It's been a long time since I've had a funnel cake. But I think even clowns have days off now and again. Besides, they've already promised us a nice visit, can't you just be happy with that?

Did you remember to bring those teacakes you made? They'll go nicely with the sarsaparilla.

Margie: Funnel cake? I'd love to have one of those.

Yes, I brought the teacakes. Edna, here's the thing. We should just be happy they invited us for a nice visit. Even if they aren't dressed like clowns we know they'll have lots of funny stories to tell.

Edna: Margie, you're right. I do love a visit with friends, especially funny friends. Now, wipe the lipstick off your front teeth and let's go ring the doorbell.

Ding Dong! Ding Dong! Ding Dong!

Silly: Hi Margie and Edna! Did you have a nice trip?

Fluffy: We are so excited to have you come for a visit! Would you like some ice cold
Sarsaparilla?

So the five new friends, Margie, Edna, Cousin T, Silly Willy and Fluffy spent hours getting to know each other, sharing the stories of their lives and very funny experiences! The sarsaparilla
was cold and refreshing. The teacakes, brought by Margie and Edna, were simply scrumptious!

Silly: Have we got a “Great Surprise” for you!!!

Witty banter and curious insights into human nature! Why are there sad clowns?

News Pie, thank you for your comment.
Why are there sad clowns? Why are there sad songs? It is the choice of the performer to pick the type of clown character. The sad clown depicts one who is down trodden in life. The audience can identify with the ups and downs of life. Usually the temporary events change to a brighter and happier result. See this

I been told to quit clowning around just about all my life. It sure was nice to visit a place where clowning was acceptable and normal like. Silly Willy and Fluffy were such great hosts I never wanted to leave. I could have looked at the pictures of their clown friends for days. They told me that every clown has their own make up design which belongs to them and that clowns will work on that design throughout their entire career. Driving home I felt the sawdust blowing out of my hair but I'll not ever shake it out of my heart. Thanks Silly Willy and Fluffy. You are two Classy Clowns Fer Sure!

Cousin T (Terocious)Thank you for your gracious comment! You are a "gentleman's gentleman!" It was a pleasure to meet an unselfish one so devoted to your cousins Margie and Edna. They are very fortunate to have you by their side.
You are a very funny person and should consider going to clown school. It is a wonderful life to bring smiles, love, laughter and happiness to all you meet. It will change your life and Margie and Edna will be simply thrilled! You do know that Margie and Edna will expect free tickets to the circus!

Margie: That trip wore me out! I haven't had so much fun in all my life. Cousin T is still singing and Edna is still eating funnel cake.

We thank you both for the most fun ever!
