MEMORIAL DAY 2010 "Our Hope, Their Sacrifice"

Today, we acknowledge the sacrifice our troops make for
our benefit and our freedom.  While we enjoy the spirit of
family togetherness the unsung heroes brave the heat, cold,
rain, snow, sand and oftimes loneliness of far away places.

Let us take time to remember their sacrifices.

Shall we pray together for their safe return home?
Shall we pray for their families who daily miss their loved
one separated by thousands of miles?
Shall we pray for those who have made their ultimate
sacrifice?

We will and we do daily! God bless them all!

WE HAVE ARRIVED ! ! ! Thank you

Hey everyone, we finished our trip and
we traveled 1,345 miles sinceTuesday !

The news said they were expecting an increase of
10% more travelers on the road for this years
Memorial Day weekend.  That was believable as
we were constantly in bumper to bumper traffic for
a good portion of our trip.  There were several
accidents along the way.  So if you are going to
travel in the U.S., please be very careful!

So now it's time to get some sleep.  Thank you for taking
care of our Blog while we were gone.  Hugs!

ON THE ROAD AGAIN !! (Goodbye to Texas)

Yes, we're on the road again!  It's time to say goodbye to Texas .   This was
a fun trip starting with The Clowns of America International Convention in Houston,
many side trips including the Blue Bell Ice Cream Factory and the final visit to
The George Bush Library & Museum.  The best part for us is meeting all the
wonderful people along the way.

Now it's time to hit the road on our 1,300 mile journey to the north. Hopefully,
we will arrive in time to spend part of the holiday weekend with family and
friends.

Stop by and see us and leave a comment or two! Keep smiling and hugs to all!

We both were very impressed with the George H.W. Bush Library.
It gave us a greater understanding  of the man and the period in
history in which he served our nation.  These years of preparation
were very important to the office he would some day hold. His
unselfish dedication to his country, family and faith led him to the
most stressful job in the world. The Presidency of the United States!

"The Senility Prayer" (Monday Madness)

THE SENILITY PRAYER :
Grant me the senility to forget the people
 I never liked anyway,
The good fortune to run into the ones I do, and
The eyesight to tell the difference.
